How to change from a savings to checking account?

Obviously i know i go to Bank of America or another bank but in my case Bank of America. But what i want to know is does it cost any money? How long will the process take? When will i receive my box of checks?


Again, i want to change from a savings acc to checking acc not make a checking acc. I want to transfer the money from my savings to a new checking acc. Hope that is made clear.|||You can have both a savings and a checking - one account for saving money (savings account) and the other for your spending/bill money. Just open the checking account - I believe you can even do that online if you've already got a BofA account. It'll take a couple of weeks for your checks to arrive. You don't have to cancel your savings account in order to open the checking account, if that is what you are asking.|||It can be set up straight away, you can have both accounts.


The check book/cards might take a week or so to be made.
