PS3 Game Sharing & Trophy Related Question?

ok, i recently knew about this game sharing thing and i need a slightly thorough briefing on it. I know FIVE activation is the limit, but does this mean that i can share games for FIVE times of the SAME title or FIVE times for ANY DIFFERENT title (if i have 2 games of different titles that needed sharing can i can share up to FIVE times EACH meaning TEN times ?) Continuing on the briefing, lets say i have 5 user accounts on MY PS3 system ( i know max number of user account on ONE system is 16 ) , does this mean that i have already used up ALL my 5 activation ? It spark me to ask this question because i have 3 user accounts on my PS3, and when i look at the information of the downloaded game (welcome back, infamous) it says it is SHARABLE to the other accounts (ex : shared to acc 2 and acc 3, owner is acc 1). im scared that i have already lost 3 activation .. oh and one more thing. is it possible to SHARE save data files and acquire trophies? lets say if i play infamous on acc 2 using save game file of acc 1, do i get all the trophy of acc 1 or is it blocked [note that this is ALL IN ONE (my) PS3 SYSTEM]. Oh,and what happens if i transfer MY save date file to ANOTHER PS3 system using his/her acc. Do they get all MY acquired trophy ? thx in advance , i hope someone will be able to answer my question.|||You have 5 Activations, which is 5 Device Activations, not Account Activations. You can share your account on up to 5 devices. This includes the PSP, or any other device that allows the use of PlayStation content (currently, games are only accessible through PS3 and PSP).

If you have 16 accounts on your PS3, that is still only 1 Activation, because it is one device. If you give your account to a family member (which is legal to do per Sony's Terms of Service agreement), say a brother, and he has 10 accounts on his PS3, that is still only 2 Activations (your PS3 device, his PS3 Device). If you Activate your account on a PSP as well, that would then be 3 Activations (3 Devices, your PS3, your brothers PS3, your PSP).

The only way to get an Activation back is to Deactivate the account off of the device (deleting the account does NOT Deactivate it).

On your PS3, you have only used 1 Activation, no matter how many accounts you have on your PS3 (all accounts on your PS3 have access to your content, as long as that account stays on the PS3, the content becomes inaccessible to the other accounts if you delete the account that purchased the content).

"is it possible to SHARE save data files and acquire trophies?" - Some games do not allow you to share Save Data between accounts, some games do not allow you to copy Save Data at all (it is copy-protected), the only way to save those Save Data files is to do a back up. If the Save Data allows you to copy it and use it with another account, then you can transfer the Save Data from one account to another. As far as trophies are concerned, trophies can not be modified, deleted, or transferred in any way, each account must acquire it's own trophies (other accounts can acquire trophies, even if the content was purchased with that account, but you can not transfer trophies from one account to another, you will have to earn them for each account).

"what happens if i transfer MY save date file to ANOTHER PS3 system using his/her acc. Do they get all MY acquired trophy ?" Trophy data is saved to an online server, it is not part of the Save Data. You can not transfer trophies from one account to another, no matter if it is on the same PS3, or a different PS3.|||Gamesharing violates Sony's "Terms of Service" agreement for the PSN.|||The 5 activations is for your PSN account. So if you have one PSN account on 5 systems, then that's the limit. So you can download as many games as you want to those 5 systems, but you can't download / activate games on any other systems. Therefore, you can have any number of games downloaded on each of those 5 systems, so long as there's enough space.

The other accounts on the PS3 are completely separate and do not use any of the activations except for those accounts. So you can have each of those PSN accounts on 5 completely separate systems.

As for sharing save data, sometimes yes, but most of the time no because most game save data is profile-locked meaning it will only work with the original profile it was created on. Trophies *cannot* by any means be shared as the trophies are locked specifically to a PSN account and cannot be transferred or shared, even through save data. The other person (or other account) must acquire the trophies individually.
