Mother in laws bank account?

mother in law is ill in hospital and very confused,we think her other son is drawing funds from her bank acc he also wants to transfer all her money to his account, which means when she dies her other two sons will get nothing, should we notify bank, and if she does recover how would account be activated again,as she couldnt get to bank, though she does have a personal banker?many thanks|||Personally, I would call the bank and report her card stolen, her pin found out and any other access details (internet banking) as found out.

Explain she is in hospital.

Some banks will take appropriate steps - others will say they can't discuss your mother-in-law's account with you - but it's worth a try.

I hope it gets sorted. Obviously, if he is doing this without permission it's stealing.|||Provide documentation that she is in the hospital and therefore unable to make any requests to the bank currently. Notify them that any transactions completed will be reported as fraudulent so the bank needs to freeze the account to ensure no more activity will be ongoing such as ATM withdrawals, debit card purchases, or checks written.

Also, if she is dying, see if a copy of her will is able to be obtained and given to her attorney. If she has no will and no attorney, be prepared to battle it out when she dies.

This however will all be useless if she has given power of attorney to someone because they will have the say on whatever she had agreed to beforehand.|||confused? tell her, explain as many times as you need to if you think she is being conned. life is not about money, although it helps, so ask yourself this, would you be doing it cause your mother in law is possibly being conned or because none of you bar one son would stand benefit.|||How he is drawing money? How will he transfer funds to his A/c? Are there any blank cheques signed by your mother in law ? Is he using her ATM card? For any problems the banker can do all is needed.
